Due to recent legislation, we have amended our local rules regarding caseload allocation and the bond schedule effective July 1, 2014.
1. Caseload allocation
Level 1-5 felonies and murder will be allocated 45% each to Circuit and Superior Court 1, with Superior 2 getting the remaining 10%. All Level 6 felonies will be allocated to Superior 2 and Circuit 45% each with Superior 1 getting the remaining 10%. All misdemeanors will continue to be filed in Superior Court 2.
2. Bond Schedule. The bond schedule has been amended to reflect the new level felony system. Misdemeanor bonds increased slightly, but now both Level 5 and 6 felonies have a pre-set bond.
The comment period regarding these changes begins on May 15, 2014 and ends on June 15, 2014. The proposed changes will take effect July 1, 2014. A copy of the notice and proposed rules appears below.
